10+ gigabit train to ground communication tested

Resilient and secure broadband communications for high-speed rail is true now.  ELVA-1 70/80 GHz wireless radios were successfully tested for train-to-ground communication at real railway conditions on high-speed Russia to Finland railway line. The max aggregated throughput reached 11300 Mbps.

PPC-10G Radios Tested on 10 km Over Black Sea for Resistance to Reflections from Sea Surface

PPC-10G-HP radios were tested by Alpika-Telecom LLC on two routes in ITU-R rain zone “K”: Anapa-Vityazevo and Anapa-Yurovka. The Anapa-Vityazevo path had a wireless route length of 10.5 km and passed over the Black Sea in the Anapskaya Bay area. The second path Anapa-Yurovka with a route length of 15.9 km had a significant elevation towards Yurovka and passed over the suburban area.

New 19.5 km Record Distance Wireless Path for ELVA-1 70/80 GHz 10 Gbps Radio Link

In April, 2020 10Gbps E-band radio was successfully tested on longest in the industry wireless path of 19,482 m (12.1 miles). This is the first independently confirmed case of 12+ miles range for commercially available 10G radio operated in 71-76/81-86 GHz frequency spectrum (E-band).
